Welcome to the GEJSC Under 7 Phoenix. It was great to meet everyone last Wednesday and see the boys keen and raring to go.
This is just a quick note to touch base and inform you of a few items. I will send another email with updated information as it becomes available.
Our coach is Nick Podger. Our manager is Steve Denison (me).
Our training day is every Wednesday at 6.00pm at Duncan MacKinnon Reserve close to the netball courts.
Our first game is on Saturday 3rd May. I believe it may be a home game, but I am waiting for finalised list of fixtures – stay tuned.
Games (home and away) start at 9.00am and you will need to be at the ground 30 minutes before the start.
Uniform – you will need GEJSC shorts and socks – if you do not have them already, these can be purchased from the club. Mary Weerdenburg has the kit available Saturday mornings at Lord Reserve. Team shirts are provided on the day. Football boots – ensure no metal studs – these are not allowed.
When I get the fixture list I will be drawing up a roster for shirts (washed and returned at training night), oranges (half time refreshment for the players) and setup duties (setting up goals and flags, etc).
