Recreation Respite Program new

Glen Eira City Council is offering young people with a disability the opportunity to participate in it's Inclusive Recreation Respite Program. This Program offers children (12-18) the opportunity to sample a range of recreation and sporting activities at no charge during the June–July school holidays (30 Jun-11 Jul) - full details here [11 Jun 2008].

Melbourne Milan Junior Camp new

Football Development Australia, in conjunction with AC Milan, are bringing the world’s best coaches to Melbourne these July School holidays (07-11 July) for the first ever Melbourne Milan Junior Soccer Camp for 6-15 year olds - full details here [11 Jun 2008].

Casino Night

Sat 19 July 19:30 Lord Reserve Club rooms - adults only. The major Club fundraiser of the year. A great night last year. Contact Sandra for tickets ($20) and donating prizes for the evening. SSG Feedback

The FFV is seeking feedback from SSG (GoalKick) parents regarding the SSG program - online feedback form available here [27 May 2008].

Training: Venue Change

Due to local club contention for training grounds, GEJSC will no longer train at Duncan Mackinnon Park. Effective Tuesday 20 May, all Club training will be held at Mackie Road Reserve for the rest of the Season [05 May 2008].

Tips from the Field ...

This week's tip from Coaching Coordinator Ange Zuanetti ...

'Make sure you play to the referee’s whistle. Don’t stop playing just because others may have. If no whistle has been blown then keep playing. Some referee’s yell 'play on' but this is not always the case, so be alert in this situation.'

The U10 Eagles, U12 Phoenix and U13 Falcons Girls teams are looking for new players. Goalkick/SSG players (Under 8, born in or after 2000) are also sought [16 Apr 2008].
